Cannon is an item that lets you fire a powerful projectile. Being the simplest offense item, it is one of the most ubiquitous powerups in the game.
The fired projectile, upon dealing enough pixel damage, explodes to inflict splash damage on nearby pixels. This item is suited for clearing cluters of pixels, worth more than the 75 damage it does to a part.
The aiming of this item is unusual: if the gun is aimed at a unit within 60 pixels, the reticle will expand and cover where the explosion is predicted to occur. Otherwise, the aiming direction is much looser, indicating that the projectile would likely miss if fired.
